Pennsylvania Youth Music and Theatrics is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide young people, ages 10 to 25 with high quality community theatre experiences and offer training in all aspects of production.

Founded in 1989, and based out of the Historic Carlisle Theatre in downtown Carlisle, PYMT provides an excellent training ground for local youth interested in musical theatre and theatre in general. In addition to performance opportunities, PYMT provides training in all aspects of theatre, including directing, choreographing, producing, set design and construction, graphic arts, and technical issues such as lighting and sound.

In 2007, we were pleased to perform Pippin for our nineteenth annual mainstage production. This show joined a long list of performances which includes: 42nd Street, Hello, Dolly!, Damn Yankees, Grease, Guys and Dolls, The Will Rogers Follies, Kiss Me, Kate, The King & I, and Oklahoma!

PYMT produces year round productions to highlight the talents of all of our performers.  Winter brings our Winter Comedy highlighting our non-musical performers.  In the spring we produce a Spring Dinner Theater Cabaret featuring themed Broadway songs from various shows and a delicious dinner.  Summer is the time for our younger performers to shine, as we produce a Summer Children's Musical for ages 10 to 15.  Our production year ends with our Fall Mainstage production, open to performers ages 15 to 25, a full scale musical on the stage of the historic Carlisle Theatre.

These annual events provide a venue to showcase young performers' talents and everyone who is interested is included in some aspect of the production.
